High-dose resveratrol (1,000 mg twice daily) has been used for up to 1 year in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer disease and 500 mg 3 times daily for 6 months in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. For exercise capacity, the initial dose was 500 mg twice a day for 1 week, then increased to 1,000 mg twice a day for the remaining 3 weeks.
